The Potential of What You Have
Opportunities are every where, sometimes it takes time to realize how to turn them into realities.

However, I am not talking about How to  find opportunities in this post. I am talking about those opportunities which are already there right to our nose, but we just don't know the potential in them.

We may have skills, passion and creativity enough to make our lives and those of the community better, the ignorance of their existence, or lack of focus in using them makes it difficult to change things.

Today, take necessary steps to understand yourself, learn about your passion, learn about your capabilities, evaluate your network, your experiences, what you have accomplished and your dream. You may read the article HOW TO IDENTIFY YOUR PASSION AND LET IT WORK to know more about understanding your passion.

You should read more information that will open your mind, inspire and motivate you to do big things. And in this blog, that is all we do. Have time to open pages in Johnie Blog and read all stuff for free.

If you don't see the potential of what you have, some people will see the opportunity you ignoring, will learn from your mistake, and will create something big, will be successful while you remain wondering how did it happen, how were they successful while they are not as strong as you are.

When I write this post, I am reminded of a story of Dr. John Pemberton, the creator/originator of coca cola syrup, the basis of the Coca Cola company we have today.

It happened on May 8,1886 in Antlanta Georgia. He first sold Coca cola soda according to The Coca Cola company website, at a pharmacy called Jacob's Pharmacy.

Read below what the The Coca Cola website says about Dr. John Pemberton:

"Dr. Pemberton never realized the potential of the beverage he created. He gradually sold portions of his business to various partners and, just prior to his death in 1888, sold his remaining interest in
Coca-Cola to Asa G. Candler. An Atlantan with great business acumen, Mr. Candler proceeded to buy additional rights and acquire complete control".

Sometimes the beginning is hard, but don't lose hope, don't lose focus. In history of Coca Cola, Pemberton was selling an average of 9 drinks per day, but today Coca Cola is consumed in more than 200 countries at a rate of about 1.6 billion per day.
You see, what I meant earlier, Dr. John didn't realize the potential he had,  other people saw it. Poor Dr. John, he died not owning the company whose root was his experiment !
