In this post therefore, I am going to show some positive uses of Facebook. NOTE that I am not talking about traditional uses of Facebook such as chatting and reading funny stuff.
Businesses use to generate Customer Profiles:
When you set your profile and wall for public view, some businesses which supply their products to you may use Facebook to learn more about you, such as your hobbies, type of friends, your wishes and other information that appear important to them.

Yes, some people started groups that generated a lot of members who are active. Since these groups have a large number of active members, businesses which find the members their target customers may consult administrators of such group in order to place adverts. However, the disadvantage of this way is that some members may opt to leave the group if they feel the administrators are using them.
Some Facebook groups express business intention to its members. A good example is the group created and administered by Young Tanzania entrepreneur Richie Mushi.

You may leave a group, but if you are a fan of a celebrity or a company you have opted to receive notifications (posts) from them.
The post they make could be a normal wall status to make to entertain or inform you or an advert for a product.
