Almost in every continent of the world citizens are complaining about their governments. The story that governments are not doing what citizens want them to do is not a new thing. From developed countries like USA and UK, to developing countries like Tanzania.

Though the government may fail to deliver what you expect, you should not fail to give yourself what you deserve.

Here are some of the things you should note down, as we experience difficult political and economic situations in our countries:-

Internationalize yourself: Be internationally competent by making sure you have skills and necessary experience to work in any other countries. Many of us are thinking of qualifications, I am not talking about qualifications, I am talking about skills and experience because qualifications alone are not enough, it is not just enough to say you are a teacher, geologist, accountant, or economist. What matters is you are really good at something through that qualification you have.
Another way of internationlizing yourself is through contacts you make. The social networks you are in can help you get in touch with many people - but how do you use social networks like facebook? Serious contacts would not want to make relation with a person who is full of silly stuff on his or her walls. Or someone with a false profile.

Your knowledge base and information: To make sound contacts and be able to work and live internationally, you need to be informed of many social, political economic issues. So check the information you read, listen and watch.

Have necessary documents: You need to have passport of your country. You can also have two passports. Read here what world's respected travel and investment expert Simon Black has to say about having two passports.

Store your wealth: Fiat money ( the currencies used by countries as medium of exchange) is loosing its value. Both Less developed countries like Tanzania and big countries like USA, are suffering from fall of value of their currencies. Doug Casey, a well respected investment advisor and author, has the following to say On buying-physical-gold-and-silver

Diversify your investments: You should know what type of investments to put your money in and where the investment should be especially when the investments have long term maturity period. If you want to do traditional businesses like selling of equipment, you should think carefully and do them strategically. Read STARTING YOUR OWN BUSINESS

Stay Alerted: Read, watch and listen to several news media. Though not all what is in the media may be true, or state exact situations on the ground, the news and information there will give you some indications on what is really going on around the world. Furthermore read proffessional and independent authors who may provide you with more accurate information. Follow me in this blog, as I am going to post a list of some of reputable sources of information to make you stay alerted.

Be strategic: Understand your passion, your capabilities and limitations. Review your connections, relationships and organize your resources in such a way that you maximize their existence. Here resources include time, especially time you use on social networks like facebook. Read, watch, listen to information that will help you bring about big dreams and strategies, and above all believe in yourself. Be innovative: Yes you can be innovative, not necessarily to the extent of innovating a machinery or software, but you can do something better. See what Steve Jobs had to say about creativity:
"Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn’t really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That’s because they were able to connect experiences they’ve had and synthesize new things. And the reason they were able to do that was that they’ve had more experiences or they have thought more about their experiences than other people".
