Customers are getting more knowledgeable
There are a number of means of searching for information about products and suppliers. Customers can easily now than ever before use social networks to get recommendations about products, judge products through reviews, and even type of fans a suppliers' site has.
This situation of customers being more knowledgeable creates challenges to some business firms while opening opportunities to those that can embrace changes and work hard to understand customers.  If you have a business, remember customers are becoming more aware of quality products and better means of payment, so improve your services and make value adding products otherwise, you will loose customers in the near future. I like to use message from my friend Erica- she said I quote " Everything is changing now..its a matter of time..keep doing the right thing".

Love relationships are affected
Have you thought of the effects of social networks had on your love relationship ? Are you checking who communicates with your lover?
Those days where you would tell your love not to share his or her phone number with other people are gone. In these days,( Unless necessary privacy settings are applied) some one can just search on the profiles on the social networks get not only personal contacts but also pictures.
So, you won't blame your love when you see his or her pictures in someone's computer ?

Learning made easy
There is a joke that funny jokes twitted as: "Respect old people, they graduated without Google and wikipedia".
This has statement has truth in it, that nowdays learning is made easier than before. Now days you can even get free books on the internet, buy books online, and or attend online library.
There are many websites with learning materials such as Youtube where you view videos of tutorials of almost any topic you want. Click here to Check website with Free books.
Yes, Youtube is not only for watching music videos and movies. You can watch news and academic stuff. Companies and other institutions have even opened their official youtube pages.

Commerce made easy
From new business models like peer to peer businesses like Ebay, Amazon, Getarround, to means of payments that are more secure and easy like Western Union, Mastercard, Paypal and Google wallet, our world of today have witnessed many interesting changes.
Many businesses have decided to go online to either market their products or fully conduct online selling of its products.
The old style of just having a website for your business for information purpose only has gone. In our time a website is more than just an information centre, it an a 'second office' customers want to interract with your organization through your website.
You can read a nice article about the Sudden rise of peer to peer businesses from Casey Research.

Management challenges

Though there are challenges in management brought by Information technology development, there are positives worth noting. A good example is Sync technology, whereby a person can be working at home with a personal computer, decide to sync with office computer so that he doesn't need to carry the computer or save documents in storage devices.
The use of crowd computing is also a good example of technology made simple.
Nowadays you may not need to worry how you can send large documents via email. Google and Microsoft for example using Google Drive and Sky drive respectively have simplied sharing of large documents online.

Social networks have enhanced management through making data about customers and employees easily available, however in some cases they have been blamed for low productivity of employees who spend much time on social networks such as facebook and twitter.
